How to arrive at TrendSet

The excellent infrastructure of the Messe München International means short distances and rapid transport times for both exhibitors and attendees.

Through the entrances West and East you can reach TrendSet quickly and directly whether you arrive by car or underground train.

Traveling by car

Signs in the entire city of Munich and its suburbs show drivers the way to the Messe München International / ICM. Both exhibitors and visitors will find ample parking space in the car park (parking deck) at the West Entrance and outdoors at parking lots at the East Entrance.

When using a navigation device, you will find the Messe München International in the category “Trade Fair” or “Exhibition Site”. Should your navigation system not support special destinations, just enter the previous address into the system. Near the Messe München International itself, the Messe München International traffic guidance system will guide you to the nearest available parking area for TrendSet.

From the motorway A8 or A9, follow the A99 in the direction of Salzburg. At the interchange München-Ost, drive on the A94 in the direction to Munich. Exit the A94 at Feldkirchen-West (exit no. 6) or München-Riem (no. 5).

How to find the Car Park West (West Entrance and Car Park Entrance)

The fastest way is to exit the A99 motorway at München-Riem (exit no. 5). Follow the signs to the ICM. Then you will arrive directly at the car park. If you exited the A94 at Feldkirchen-West, then turn right at the junction Paul-Henri-Spaak-Straße/De-Gaspari-Bogen. Drive north past all halls and you will arrive at the entrance to the car park.

How to find the outdoor parking lot at the East Entrance (Eingang Ost)

From the A94, exit ‘Feldkirchen-West’: Exit the A94 motorway at Feldkirchen-West. Drive straight through the junction Paul-Henri-Spaak-Straße/De-Gaspari-Bogen and keep driving straight until you reach the East Entrance.

Please note: The Park & Ride car park (parking deck) at the East Entrance does not belong to the Messe München International!

From the A94, exit ‘München-Riem’: Exit the A94 motorway at München-Riem. First, turn right onto Paul-Henri-Spaak-Straße, then turn left onto Olof-Palme-Straße, and at the next junction, turn left again onto Willy-Brandt-Allee. Finally, drive south past the halls until you reach the outdoor parking area at the East Entrance.

Traveling by train

You can take the ICE (high-speed train) of German Railways (Deutsche Bahn) to the Munich central station (Hauptbahnhof). German Railways maintains a system allowing you to search for the right train connections and book your train trip online.

Taxis are parked right outside the central station and they can take you directly to the fairgrounds. The current taxi rates are available online at the link below.

Traveling using public transport

With the U-Bahn (underground, subway), the fairgrounds can be reached from the city centre in about 20 minutes. The underground line U2 operates from 5:30 a.m. to midnight at ten-minute intervals directly to the Messe München International, station "Messestadt West" or station "Messestadt Ost". Once you alight from the train, it's only a few meters' walk to the main entrance of TrendSet.

Tickets for public transport are available at ticket vending machines (at stations) or at the ticket counter of the respective station (in the case of busses and trams/streetcars, tickets are also available from the driver). Please have spare change at the ready to purchase your ticket. There are three basic kinds of tickets: single tickets (for a single trip; no returns and round trips allowed), stripe tickets (for multiple trips), and day tickets (for as many trips as you like in one day). The tariff is based on zones. For all points within the city limits of Munich – including to the fairgrounds – two stripes of the strip ticket should be punched (cancelled) at the devices at stations specially for this.

More information especially on tickets and prices in the Munich public transport system (in English).

Traveling by plane

The Munich Airport (Franz Josef Strauß Airport) is located north of Munich, but is only 30 km from the center of Munich as the crow flies. Follow the link below for information about the current flight timetables.

From the airport, you can take a taxi to the fairgrounds. For the stretch between the Munich Airport and the Messe München International, at this time a fixed rate of 51.00 EUR is in effect. Follow the link below for the current taxi rates.

Of course, you can also land at the airport and then take public transport to the fairgrounds. The underground (U-Bahn) line U8 leads from the airport directly to the city centre. From here, you can take the U-Bahn line U2 further to the fairgrounds. Exit the U2 at the station "Messestadt West" or "Messestadt Ost" and then it's only a few steps to the entrance hall of TrendSet. Follow the links below for timetable/schedule information.
