How to arrive at TrendSetThe excellent infrastructure of the Messe München International means short distances and rapid transport times for both exhibitors and attendees. Through the entrances West and East you can reach TrendSet quickly and directly whether you arrive by car or underground train. Traveling by carSigns in the entire city of Munich and its suburbs show drivers the way to the Messe München International / ICM. Both exhibitors and visitors will find ample parking space in the car park (parking deck) at the West Entrance and outdoors at parking lots at the East Entrance. Traveling by trainYou can take the ICE (high-speed train) of German Railways (Deutsche Bahn) to the Munich central station (Hauptbahnhof). German Railways maintains a system allowing you to search for the right train connections and book your train trip online. Taxis are parked right outside the central station and they can take you directly to the fairgrounds. The current taxi rates are available online at the link below. Traveling using public transportWith the U-Bahn (underground, subway), the fairgrounds can be reached from the city centre in about 20 minutes. The underground line U2 operates from 5:30 a.m. to midnight at ten-minute intervals directly to the Messe München International, station "Messestadt West" or station "Messestadt Ost". Once you alight from the train, it's only a few meters' walk to the main entrance of TrendSet. Tickets for public transport are available at ticket vending machines (at stations) or at the ticket counter of the respective station (in the case of busses and trams/streetcars, tickets are also available from the driver). Please have spare change at the ready to purchase your ticket. There are three basic kinds of tickets: single tickets (for a single trip; no returns and round trips allowed), stripe tickets (for multiple trips), and day tickets (for as many trips as you like in one day). The tariff is based on zones. For all points within the city limits of Munich – including to the fairgrounds – two stripes of the strip ticket should be punched (cancelled) at the devices at stations specially for this. More information especially on tickets and prices in the Munich public transport system (in English). Traveling by planeThe Munich Airport (Franz Josef Strauß Airport) is located north of Munich, but is only 30 km from the center of Munich as the crow flies. Follow the link below for information about the current flight timetables. From the airport, you can take a taxi to the fairgrounds. For the stretch between the Munich Airport and the Messe München International, at this time a fixed rate of 51.00 EUR is in effect. Follow the link below for the current taxi rates. Of course, you can also land at the airport and then take public transport to the fairgrounds. The underground (U-Bahn) line U8 leads from the airport directly to the city centre. From here, you can take the U-Bahn line U2 further to the fairgrounds. Exit the U2 at the station "Messestadt West" or "Messestadt Ost" and then it's only a few steps to the entrance hall of TrendSet. Follow the links below for timetable/schedule information. |
